The yellow of yellowhammers, one drop of the devil's blood;

The yellow of what is past;

Yellow of wormwood, yellow of straw;

The yellow of circuits, the yellow beneath the skin;

Amaranth yellow, bright bloom;

The yellow of sulfur, the finger, the road home.
